Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence (EI) is a measure of the extent to which we apply our emotional and social skills to help us achieve successful outcomes in a situation.

It relates to how we perceive ourselves, manage relationships, cope with challenges and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way, and is generally recognised as a key growth area for leadership, with the World Economic Forum seeing it as a Top Ten skill for leaders by 2020.

At Connection Matters we are qualified to use the EQI 2.0 and 360 framework to assess Emotional Intelligence and help build capability in this important area for leaders and individuals at all levels.

Emotional Intelligence Reports and Assessments

  • EQI 2.0

The EQ-I 2.0 is the leading measure of emotional intelligence, based on the original work of Dr Reuven Bar-On. Our process includes an online assessment, the development of a detailed report and a follow-up review session to discuss the results and any next steps.

  • EQ360

Based on the EQ-I 2.0 framework, the EQI 360 process provides not only the client’s self-assessment, but also a comparison with the ratings of line manager, peers, direct reports, friends and family. This rich content helps clients develop a full picture, further increases their self-awareness, and ultimately improve their performance.
